We are delighted to announce Vanessa Lopez is this year's Case Class of ‘74 Scholarship recipient, a distinguished honor awarded to a student who has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to their community.
Vanessa has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, engaged in meaningful extracurricular activities, and shown a strong commitment to community service. She is a 4-year honor roll member. Vanessa was a member of the Health Occupations Students of America and received many important certifications in the Health care. Vanessa volunteered weekly at the Aurora Health Center shadowing and assisting Physical Therapists and Emergency Room Nurses and was given other responsibilities and tasks.
Vanessa was a 4-year member of the Latino Student Union participating in activities uniting Latino and local Racine community. She has been involved in many community projects involving families including Trunk or Treat and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
Vanessa took three college courses while attending Case HS. She told coursework in Sociology and Criminal Law and Criminal Justice. These courses help spark her interest in pursuing a major in Criminal Justice at University of Wisconsin- Parkside.

The Case Class of ’74 Scholarship is designed to support and encourage students who are first generation post-high school students that exemplify dedication, a passion for learning and are involved in the Case High School and Racine communities. Our scholarship currently awards $2000/year for the first two years and $500 books scholarships for the third and fourth years. This is a total of $5000 if the student maintains a 2.5 or greater GPA throughout the 4-years.
